
Eva Schloss is a mother, grandmother,
humanitarian and friend to many people around the world. She has
generously shared her story as a Holocaust survivor with more than
1,000 audiences... in classrooms, theaters, churches, synagogues,
prisons... and in cities across the US, Germany, Great Britain,
Latvia and Australia.
Eva recently attended a performance of the play, 'And then They Came
for Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank' for the British
Parliament, featuring an all black cast. The play, written by
American playwright, James Still, tells the story of Eva's family.
Eva lives in London with her husband Zvi Schloss. She has been a
photographer, an antique shop owner and now likes to read and
travel.

Barbara Powers studied Humanities at John Carroll University,
Fine Arts at Rutgers University and Education at Michigan State
University. She has worked as Director of Operations for the Lansing
Symphony, a curriculum coordinator for Waverly Community Schools,
and a teacher. She has five children and lives in DeWitt, Michigan.
Barbara is co-author of "The Promise: A Moving Story of a Family in
the Holocaust" with Eva Schloss. She has also completed more than
250 portraits of children in the Holocaust, some of which are on
exhibit at Notre Dame University's Hall of Tolerance in Cleveland,
Ohio.
